The back nine begins with a par four, 356 yard dogleg right. Beware of lateral hazards off the tee to the left in dense underbrush, and if the shot from the teeing area is your very best and travels perfectly straight but too far, a penalty stroke may be in your future. The perfectly struck shot is about 230 yards after which you should have no more than a 9 iron to a sand wedge to the green. The 10th green is rather smallish by Whispering Pines standards so be precise in your approach. Rather than aiming for the pin, go for the middle of the green.
